Popping it open with a sly smile, he reveals he's also dressed in shabby jeans and a "official corn maze guide" shirt which appears very much hand made with a sharpie. You don't trust that guy as far as you can throw him, but of course there's still an option to bribe him for a glimpse at his unreliable map or a whispered hint of the first turn you should take from the entrance to avoid dead ends and monsters.
