Admittedly he knew that it was hard to believe that the world wasn't as hopeless as it seemed and that a better life could be made outside of these walls. It took some time for him to open up to that possibility as well.

Riley was a bit taken aback when Bek agreed to go with him, sure he had asked but he didn't think that she would. "We'll leave early in the morning then, you can pack up whatever you want to bring with you and we'll just leave."

He shifted on rhe bed, laying down and stretching across it. "The less you bring the easier it is to travel, we'll leave early to avoid a heavy guard presence. I'll leave before you, that way they won't see us leave together. Then we can meet up at the end of the road. I have a map and directions, it's going to be a three day journey." He closed his eyes. "Unless you know of a better exit? One that would let us avoid guards all together."
