I like the layering options, where I can paste a photo on a layer and then draw on another on top of it. It's cheating a bit, but it's my own picture so I'm not stealing anything from anyone that minds. ;)

I've done that as well, in the sense that I have sketched something on paper then drew over it online after scanning it in. There's no shame in it as long as you cite the reference if it's someone else's picture :) (Assuming you share it and didn't do it just for practice.)
