Well, it depends on the kind of booze. Cinnamon schnapps goes rather well in black tea.

Ibuprofen is on my no-go list, along with anything based around aspirin.
Pain at the end of the day could be a tip off that it's muscular, and caused by tension and wear throughout the day. That's why my doctor suggested I try to address mine with physio. Mine were almost exclusively towards the evening. Waking up with migraines and neck pain is another matter.
