How long did you leave the chicken out to thaw? Whenever my mom takes something out of the freezer to cook, she gets the food out at the start of the day to give it enough time to thaw, and if the food has not thawed enough yet, she leaves it out even longer while making or buying something else for dinner.

One time, she used a... rotisserie to make chicken, but it was... not fully cooked, and as we ate it, we found we couldn't eat all of it because of the not cooked parts of the chicken.

Could have been rotten, maybe... I don't know.
