[Quiet Man Cometh]

I dislike swatting at bugs unless I know I can get a good shot in, since some are tougher than they look. My preferred method is to drop a piece of furniture on them. I'm sure the old end table at my dad's had about half a dozen centipede and spider carcasses mushed on the bottom of one leg.

Most impressive bug I've ever dealt with was the spider that got into the wash. I was loading the laundry, glimpsed the spider in the cylinder and fished through the clothes a little to try and get it out. Couldn't find it so I started the cycle and made a mental note to check my clothes for a spider carcass (he was a decent size. House spider, I think.) Cycle finished, I put the load into the dryer. Dryer finishes and I start unloading and open to lint trap to find one very pissed off spider. I think I mushed it shoving the lint screen back in because I was so startled.
