What exactly is the "magnitude of an electric field"?

It's fuzzy, so the thing reads: A uniform electric field points to the ceiling. A small object of mass 4.0 mg and charge 0.90 nC is placed 2.0 m above the ground and does not accelerate, but merely levitates at 0.20 m above the ground.
They ask me to draw a free body diagram and find the magnitude.
I guessed that since it was levitating, I guessed the magnitude of the field would be the normal force balanced against the force of gravity..but that would mean most of the information I was given wasn't used :/. I'm not really sure I'm understanding the question.
