The stereotype is that people in Montana are all a bunch of uneducated redneck/hick cowboys and farmers who ride horses everywhere.
And as far as population....yeah...it seems like we don't have many people. Partly because yeah, we only have just over 1 million people...but those 1 million people are spread out across 147,164 square miles. But it also means that we have lower crime rates than states with a higher population density.
For example, where my dad lives, he doesn't have to actually worry about locking his house when he's out of town or locking his car.
