Rune's head shot up when his journal was tossed down onto the floor in front of him, startling him out of his panicked thoughts. He grabbed the book, holding it close to his chest, not looking at Luck. He knew the boy would have read it already, and knew there was no sense in hiding anything.

He whined softly, scooting away slightly, wishing Luck would just leave him alone, yet wishing the exact opposite at the same time.
