Harry got the call that Ginny was at the hospital, but it was several hours before he could get away from work to go there to be with her. When he arrived at St. Mungo's, the doctor stopped him before he could enter the room where his wife and newborn son awaited him.

"Mr. Potter. I have good news, and bad news... The good news is your son is perfectly healthy, if a little on the large side... The bad news is that because of this, Ginevra suffered an incredible amount of internal damage. We fear that she may not recover, even with our extensive supplies of potions and healing spells." The doctor said.

Harry was stunned. His wife, the only woman he'd ever truly loved, might be dying. He nodded, numbly, barely aware of the doctor saying he could go in to see his wife and child, but not for too long- Ginny needed her rest, after all, if she were to have any chance of recovery. His hand rested on the doorknob for a moment as he worked up the nerve to go in and see his son and wife, knowing this may be one of the few- if not only- times he may see them together.
