It's collected from many authors by Bruce Coville.
Sort of been thinking about it because it handles things like emotions and relationships via mythical creatures in a way that is...human. I sort of forgot that folk used to write like that.
That, realizing that I can actually reach certain goals despite my state's laws, and this message which really applies to the Southeastern United States and its culture of familial abuse/violence...realizing that several of my personal hangups and my extreme morbidity was sort of like a bad coping mechanism for depression...and having a meltdown over grief...sort of helped...
Message below:
"They simply have no desire to worsen the suffering of others. I think they know by now that pain is a basic part of this world. They simply don't wish to participate in it...because if there is such a thing as going past the point of no return...then, if the world ever reaches that point, will it too be unable to go back? I refuse to believe in that kind of world."
...and on a lighter note, Euglena are cute little microscopic organisms. They are the green embodiment of this picture
