I started yesterday (even though I've been telling myself I was going to wait because this wasn't going to go well for me), and my experience has been... exactly what I expected it to be

So, I live right next to a highway. Almost all of the stops (there aren't many) that show up on my map are on the other side of the highway, where I, obviously, can't get to just by wandering around.

There's one on my side of the highway. Just one.

A retirement home.

Pretty sure that's a sign.

I've had no pokemon show up less than 3 feets distance from me, which... considering there's a 50% chance it would be spawning in an area I can't reach, isn't close enough for me to try going after it.

I used up one of my incense, and all I caught was an extra small ratata.

My bulbasaur is pretty happy, though. That's what really matters.
