i've seen the Holy Trilogy as well as the Prequel movies. and about 2011, i started reading the Expanded Universe books - there's a lot of them! - starting with Star Wars and moving forward in time. i'm just not interested in the Old Republic, or what's gone before Star Wars the original.

yeah, it's kinda like that. but it's what i call the Disney!Verse, because it's mostly different than what the Expanded!Verse books were about. ('Disney!Verse' and 'Expanded!Verse' are my words.)
