So, the one I'm using in the earlier pic (the "open loop") I posted is called a "pincher". You just unscrew the ball on one end, slide the thin metal curve into your nose, then screw the ball back on. So far the easiest and most aesthetically appealing type of Septum ring, to me, at least.

I think you just pull the metal apart till you can slide it in your nose, then push it back together.
