Yeah, some where going to oil rigs when they couldn't get out of the city by the main highway because they are fire protected. Planes have been flying people out to other cities and they had tankers going up the road and police with gas cans in their cars to help out people who ran out of gas. There's none left in the area.
My dad and step family live up in Fort St. John where they just lifted the evacuation order over top of my uncle's place just today because of the fire there. They had a bit of rain and snow so that might help a little but things are ugly all over the Northern interior right now. I moved out of the region end of March but keeping tabs on my friends and family up there. I don't know anyone in Fort Mac but I'm sure my friends do.
