You only pay if you switch servers. If I'm right tha tis like 25$ last I checked. I really hate that we pay so much just to switch. You can make whatever characters on a server you want. I choose Midgarsmorma (or however you spell it) because of the name, it's part of Norse Mythology and it's a bit of a lower rated server. Not as many people on it. Nikko plays 14? That is so awesome.
