Well, it's a good thing he didn't like spaghetti sauce; tomatoes are toxic for most animals. (Technically they're toxic for humans too, but we're so big that it takes more than you could reasonably eat to make you sick.)
Cockatiels don't like water on their food. If you wash fresh greens for them, they prefer it if you pat them dry before giving it to them. So that's probably why he rejected the saucy noodles.
Parakeets are surprisingly good mimics for their size -- better than cockatiels. If you want to see a parakeet talking up a storm, look up Disco. He's got a HUGE repertoire of sayings.
That's not saying cockatiels aren't good mimics; my cockatiel, Totoro, can whistle the Mickey Mouse March and the My Neighbor Totoro theme. He used to mimic my wife's alarm clock music but after not hearing that for a few months he stopped; right now we're trying to teach him the Chocobo theme.
And speaking of Totoro, he's sick. :( Hopefully it's just mild, but he's been sleepy all day, so we're taking him to the vet when it opens.
