Aamir is fun. Before I got Dark Izanami, my best sweeper team was Aamir - Carbuncle - Carbuncle - Beelzebub - Athena - Aamir. 25xATK with two high-ATK double-TPA monsters (in different colors, to help avoid getting orb-screwed) meant that team could punch through dungeons really fast. Alternatively, I could sub a couple of my best healer-types in order to pair with a healer leader like Awoken Amaterasu, or a couple devils to pair with Lu Bu for a spike damage active, or I could switch the subs to address specific needs of a dungeon, et cetera.

Now that I've got DIza and pair with Kanna, 14xATK and four heavy-hitter subs instead of two means I'm putting out roughly the same amount of total damage with more active skill options with better flexibility and survivability, but Aamir lasted me a long time.
