Sighing, Isaac thinks for a moment, honestly not certain, "I honestly cannot say until she's older since children develop at their own speed. So I probably cannot say for certain until she's at least a year old or so. Though she might be slow at catching on to speech, I've read some journals where the babies were perfectly fine having been born with the cord around their necks. Seems that they don't begin breathing completely on their own until the cord has been cut. But this is hard to verify and was noted by a doctor that helps with a lot of child births. So hopefully that will give you some peace of mind since it seems unlikely anything will be wrong with Emi." Bowing to her he disposes of everything with black fire and gives Elizabeth a clean blanket for Emi. "Now, let me inform the children that they can see you and Emi in a few moments." He closes the door so that she can have some privacy then goes into the next room to check on Faye and the children. "Well, you have a baby sister now, just give your mother a few moments to rest before going in. She'll tell you your little sister's name. Faye, I'm going down to my lab to get the papers for the baby, so I'll be back."
When he gets to the lab he grabs the papers, and see the empty envelopes and blank sheets and sighs. He might end up regretting this, but he at least wants to try since Faye gave him another chance, why can't Lucien try to make his wife happy and be home for her? Then he realizes it probably won't mean anything to write a letter, Elizabeth and her children can't read, so Lucien is probably in the same boat. Shaking off his depression he fills out the papers and brings the pen with him for Elizabeth to sign. Since he had already written her name out as the mother he can tell her to try writing what he had for her signature.
