Right, 'C', can make two different sounds, my legal 'C' makes the soft sound as in 'cent'. So it would need to be replaced in Japanse with the closest sound to an 'S', which is ironic because the spelling I use now starts with an 'S'.

I understood your point and was adding my experience with the same concept.

That was the hardest thing for me when I was in Japanese classes BTW, I never could get the hang of Katakana or Hiragana.
