Once he's got her confirmation about the blood pact he makes a small bowl form from the shadows. Getting out the letter opener he makes a cut in the palm of his hand, letting his blood drip into the bowl. Next he gently presses the point to the tip of Elizabeth's finger, enough so a drop forms and touches the drop to the blood in the bowl. When her fingers touch the blood it looks like its being soaked into her skin and makes her hand tingle, then its over.

The other reason why I want you here is for your family's protection since the person who attacked Emi is still around, and living where you do would be very dangerous for your family. At least here I can have my familiars watch during the day, you won't seem them because they are in the shadows. Lastly, even though my lab is off limits to your family, it is not off limits to Emi, she'll need to probably rest during the day for part of the day. If she seems tired and not interested and just wants to sleep, tell her to go to the lab in the cellar, my familiars will not stop her from entering."

You and your husband can have my room on the second floor, I have no real need for it. You're children can sleep in the spare bedroom, however please do not use Faye's room, I don't know when she'll regain her memories or if she ever will..." With that he bows and opens the doors, leaving Elizabeth to talk with her husband while he begins cutting wood to make a coffin bed for when he can be back with Faye again. The design is similar to a canopy bed but allows the top to be lowered down to make a coffin.
