[Illusion]

Just came back from seeing the film.

The first half was AMAZING. So much better then the prequels. But the 2nd half fucks up but not in the bad way, it takes the key plot points of the 4th and 5th episodes, give them a tweak or to, but it's literally them repeating the same movies over again.

A 3rd Death Star that is like 3 times bigger.. Seriously? Yes the last two worked out so great....

The movie is good starting up, but once the big reveal happens it's literally a retelling of the prequels where everything becomes predictable. It had a very dull ending where you can see that Disney is purposely holding back information just to make you feel invested and see episode 8 in the most anti-climatic way possible, which is sad because it should had been a very huge scene but instead they just spin the camera around for like a minute and call it the end of the movie.

4/5. I wouldn't see it again unless I want a refresh for episode 8. The movie had a ton of funny and memorable scenes. But again the last half being a retelling of episodes 4 and 5 but WITH A SMALL TWIST kept it from being a 5/5. Still better then all the prequels combined and is a must see for all Star Wars fans and a good start for anyone who hasn't seen any of the older movies.

edit: Oh and they gave Stormtroopers character and I give them all my praise for doing that. 10/10 on doing that.
