Because my mom is an old foggy and is almost completely of the mindset of 'children should be seen, not heard' when in public. If I take out my cellphone or handheld system at a restaurant while waiting to be served she yells at us, telling us to put it away so that we can have dinner as a 'family'. Reason why I state it that way is because whenever we do try talking to spend time as a 'family' she angrily tells us to be quote because we talk about 'stupid' shit to her, which is usually about video games. Reason being is because she finds them stupid and us stupid for playing them. Or at least for as much as we play them, but then we don't really have anything else to talk about because we've already told her anything there was interesting that's happened by that point. And when my brother asks what drinks the place has if its not on the menu she gets mad at him, saying he's stupid and that he knows what drinks are served there because he's been there numerous times. That is usually incorrect because these places we go to with her we maybe visit once or twice in an entire year. =.=;
