If you know what you are looking for then It's easy to tell the real thing from the fakes, but there are a lot of seller that sell genuine pieces. If you are able to identify what type of kimono you are looking for for example a Komon or a Furisode then it makes it easier to bring up proper ones. They are on ebay too. the other one is http://www.ichiroya.com/ who are very good at picking up on any possible dirt/mark on any of the garments they sell and are where I got my first kimono from.
