Valkyrie gets TWO two-pronged attacks when fully evolved and awakened.

Why is this significant? Well, let me do a quick breakdown of how the damage mechanics work.

When you match three orbs, that makes your monster do an attack dealing 100% of its ATK stat, minus the enemy's DEF stat. Additional orbs added to this match increase the damage by 25%, so a typical five-orb mass attack does 150% ATK to all enemies, minus DEF.

Normally, then, matching four orbs deals 125% ATK to a single enemy.

If you have Two-Pronged Attack, you add 50% to that multiplier. Additional TPA awakenings add that multiplier multiple times, so 2xTPA means matching four orbs deals 225% ATK to two enemies, and 3xTPA (currently the highest found in the game) is 275% ATK. When you trigger the TPA bonus, if there's more than one enemy on the screen, your monster will add a second monster to its list of targets.

A 5-match ("mass attack") adds all monsters on the screen to the monster's list of targets.

If you make multiple matches of the same color in a round, the damage is added together, plus every combo you make adds 25% to your final damage. This final damage is dealt to every monster in the list of targets So making two 3-orb matches would deal 225% ATK damage to one monster, compared to one 6-orb match dealing 175% (100% + 3 extra orbs * 25%) to all monsters.

This means that if you have two TPA awakenings, you deal as much damage to two monsters with one 4-orb match as you would make against a single monster with two 3-orb matches.

Additional examples:

3-match + 3-match: 100% + 100% + 25% = 225% damage to one enemy
3-match + 5-match: 100% + 150% + 25% = 275% damage to all enemies
1xTPA, 4-match + 3-match: 175% + 100% + 25% = 300% damage to two enemies
1xTPA, 4-match + 4-match: 175% + 175% + 25% = 375% damage to two enemies
1xTPA, 4-match + 5-match: 175% + 150% + 25% = 350% damage to all enemies
2xTPA, 4-match + 4-match: 225% + 225% + 25% = 475% damage to two enemies

EDIT: An additional note: No matter how many combos you make, no matter how big your matches are, no matter how many TPAs you have, enemy defense only gets subtracted once, to a minimum of 1 damage. This means that high-defense monsters have to be defeated by a single large attack that overcomes its DEF; two monsters hitting the monster for damage even slightly less than its DEF will only do 2 damage.

One final note: TPA applies to the monster's sub element as well, which acts as a second independent attack as if it were another monster with an ATK of 10% (sub element same as main) or 30% (sub element different than main) of the dual-element monster's stat. This second attack (and its TPA) can hit different monsters than the main attack (and its TPA) if the main attack kills one of those targets.
