I some how got that screw out.

o-o the top plate of the hard drive has circles on it! I don't think my manga is salvageable xD the head needs replaced completely. it's missing the reader doodad..

Thing has 3 plates *Q* i wanna take the WHOLE thing apart but instead I think i might try and exchange the head to see if I can salvage anything. -doubtful-

the scratches must be from when it was one of those "My Book" external drives and the cats kept knocking it over =o=, i heard they get scratched that way.

I doubt the head to my 40GB WD hard drive would be compatible wish i kept the other 250GB drive i had... spare parts are needed right now >x< grrr

edit: mom is gonna let me 'bid' on some hard drives. the serial codes match from the looks of things so I might be able to get spare parts + some hard drives to work with until we can afford a brand new one ouo
