I'm still waiting until we find another intelligent species and ask what their religious beliefs are. Just to prove that our religions are non-sense, but knowing us people will just alter their religions or points so it's able to survive into the future.

Science keeps proving so much, and religion has to keep altering their points to keep up with the new information we discover. But there is still a question of whether there was a creator of the universe. But the age old point I will always address, then who created the creator? And if someone's argument is that God was always there, they are completely ignorant to a basic idea that they use against people to prove of God's existence.

We're able to prove that the universe can create itself because of gravity, but we still can't figure out what creates the law of gravity without mass. Then there is the functioning of progression and time, and so on.

But seriously....

You can easily expect that image to grow more as time progresses and we can observe more of the known universe. I still laugh every time I see this image just because of how much sense it makes.

I still laugh at the idea of Jesus, a woman is suddenly pregnant and goes "Oh this is God's child." If this was modern day, that wouldn't fly. People now are going to go "Who the hell did you sleep with?" I do believe stories of Noah's arc are half truths, the size of his arc wouldn't fit one of each animal, but for people a boat this size would prove impossible to construct so the tall tale is easy to travel by, and because there is evidence of a great flood in the world it gives the story some believability because people will say "Oh I know about that flood that happen so many years ago." And when they retell the story and or share the story they could had alter the story "Mom? How big was the arc? 40 Arches? Okay? No wait 40 feet? 40 inches...? Okay."

We have older religions that predate Muslim, Christianity, Jewish, and so on. One example I always like to bring up is Greek gods, people easily believed in the gods and had a whole culture center around the religion of their belief towards them. But now everyone in Greece can easy attest that the gods were the work of fiction. What happen? People evolved, were able to climb Olympus to see there was no Gods living there, people could lie about meeting Athena and so on.

Then there's String Theory that suggests that our universe was a birth that came from another birth after another.
An amazing example from The Simpsons:

Then there's the idea that our world is a simulation like Tron that is run by people who in turn mastered, a more biological and or physic relating method of creation. If we humans are capable to begin making AI's and artificial world's like Tron, who's to say there could be a creator to do the same? And our world is a simulation to another and so on.

There was a movie that recently came out called Interstellar that talks about how gravity is needed to solve a majority of problems we may face in the future to help solve the solution to the human race's survival. They found that some sort of "other race" was sending wormholes to other universes and messages via gravity. It was later discovered that that race was us in the future who discovered how to manipulate gravity through science. But in the entire movie people thought these people were just gods, when in reality it was simply them from the future. While a lot of this movie was bullshit, it does show how easy it is for us to believe in a higher power, and it also shows just how big of a question Gravity is. Once we finally figure out Gravity it will essentially kill of the majority of questions of the universes creation and could literally kill off many religions.

So there is some humor and food for thought. xD Sorry for the wordy post, but I love talking about this stuff because it invokes a huge amount of thought and discussion.

Edit: Anyone willing to continue the discussion I have a ton of video games I'd love to bring up that share many points of religion and science. Oh and some videos of crackpot game theories that depict a lot of this information as well.
