As a side note - if you want a singleplayer game that goes through a story, there are a ton of them out there, like Amea (A witch, an Eye cult, and Zombies in a pixelated 2 hour game), or Year Walk (based on the Christian-Pagan-Slavic superstition of year walking), or others more adventure related, or humor related.
Also, RPG-Maker games...

I've never had more than one, or two at the most, friends that I could ask to play a game in all my life. LOL But yeah, I learned to shut the chat off. So yeah, what you said! :D One thing I really like about Wizard101 is the lack of chat window unless I want one, and the use of mostly canned chat. Still had a few kids pestering me to join them or friend them till I found how to shut it off. The game tends to shuffle single players heading into boss battles in with two or three others who want to do the battle, which is handy.
I've been kind of looking for an animated single player. I'd rather one without too much of a religious theme, and being able to save quest progress would be sweet. Story can be nice, but just seeing how strong a character can get is kind of neat to me too. That's why I play Dragon Tavern, which is a goofy text game.
I tried Fallen Sword today. Couldn't figure it out. *embarrassed sweatdrop*

With Runescape I wasn't talking about people talking to me. I was talking about the guy that chased my toon down attacking her despite her running like heck to get away. And it was another player character. I couldn't go to any of the other areas and do anything, because I was a free player. I did find that the NPCs were pretty rude to free players, though. lol I got more guff from them than from human comments on that game. Couldn't afford to subscribe, and years afterward I ran across someone who had loved the game and played for years, but ran into some hacker's back door on the Runescape shop and wound up losing everything, only to be told by the guys running the game that she was outta luck.
I'm not very active right now, because of stuff. If you don't see me around and you really need to get hold of me, you can yell at me over at one of these places?
