I just notice rule #5 which says: 5) Repeated jokes only last so long, and without decent setup and variation, they will die rather quickly.

Comedians, and I've known a few, would say, a mediocre joke said once might be funny, said twice is not funny, said 5 times is boorish, said 10 time is irritating, but said 50 times, makes it funny again.

Just saying.

(But maybe alcohol was involved which might explain a lot.)
