...what should I do when my father expects both myself and my mother to "get over things" when he constantly brings more things up, and follows the view of "it's my house, so you have to listen to me."

...when either of us tries to walk away when a conversation gets to be too much, he tends to follow/corner...or wait for another opportunity to bring it back up.

...part of depression and the like is reinforced by constantly bringing it up. It's sort of the "catch 22" of therapy. (It is good to get the thoughts out in the open/out of your system, but it is also much better to be able to stop obsessing over them)
