@ Annie
I think the third shift is a difficult one for sure. In all of our millions of years of history and evolution we have little function at night. Our genes (I speak in a general sense) are programmed to take advantage of sunlight. Yet there is along the spectrum some people who are fine at night, who prefer the night. Looks like you are one of them? I am. I have a day job but I am going to look for a night job. I do something called remote intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring of evoked and spontaneous potentials. It's just a mouthful to say I interpret squiggly lines over the internet. Stuff like EEG. And I get to work from home. http://imgur.com/OFFzCko That is my set up. We used to work 32 hour shifts (if you were unlucky), but now it is 24 max and if you have a bad night you can sleep in.

So I thought I would watch the original Doctor Who so I went and googled the first episode and watched it. Very different! I am going to watch the 2nd episode too as it is a 4-part pilot. I was not surprised to find it slower paced and of course there is little in the way of tech other than the TARDIS. Have you watched any of the really old ones?
I used to have a sig. Really.
