I know exactly what you mean.
There are quite a few shows, books, movies- that I've become
disheartened with because it went in a different direction
then I wanted it to go. Supernatural had quite a few bumps
in the road for me. I initially stopped watching it around
season 5-6 because of that very reason but... I finally
bore through it to get to the newest seasons.
