I started typing, then allergies came in and then more excuses came up. i don't feel like the below post is any good. So I'll just re-read it another day. For now pretend this post never happened. u_u;

Sid didn't like listening to the inane things Phenex had to say. Though all the talking did buy him and Abbadon time. 'That demon is insane!'

Meanwhile Sid was not idlily sitting on his protector's back. Some of the bolts that would have struck the pair were absorbed into his own wards. 'Healing magic harms demons right?' Casting magic successfully on terra firma took some effort. But to say it was challenging to cast spells while dodging firebolts mid-air would be the understatement of the year, especially for a novice.

Nonetheless Sid was able to keep Phenex in his line of sight. He wasn't sure it was working until he saw Phenex flinch, then attempt to dodge his healing then drop out of the sky faster than biscuit.

'Wow I must be a better healer than I thought...no wait something fell on him.'

There was a popular teleportation/flight spell among wizard humans purportedly created by some child. Thauron didn't find the story believable except that the spell had a very cute name: "zoom". It allowed someone to "fly" to a spot they marked ahead of time and thus popular for commuting between towns wizards often visited. However the caster would be vulnerable between the two points. The greatest example Thauron could think of was how he just collided with a demon spewing fire in sky. The gods must of thought it amusing to place such an obstacle right over his landing spot at that very moment. He wanted to curse them but instead used next breath to curse the demon. They were caught in a mid-air battle, one that Thauron was quickly losing.
