My roommate and I actually have to keep our window open when we;re in there -- yes, the heating is adjustable , but the doors aren't particularly great and the heating from the hallway seeps inside a lot. And we're on the highest floor, haha...
With the windows open, it doesn't actually get too cold, even when it's way below freezing -- there's more hot air going out than cold coming in.
If you have electrical tape or like...the sealing tape they use for faucets, those might work as makeshift weatherproofing.
