I trust CMU. I trust CMU a reasonable amount. But I'm not going to brush off your difficulties with our university as "just your own problems", or "just a misunderstanding". I want to claim that they weren't trying to purposefully get you out, because that has never happened to anyone I know, and CAPS does seem to try their best to help students. (Also, I don't think we have the most helpful RA, tbh, but I haven't had that much contact with our Housefellow, though I'm meeting with him on Friday for certain issues that you can guess.)

I want to defend CMU, but I also want to defend your case. So...I'll just say that I believe neither party truly understood the motives of the other, and assumed they knew what was going on when in fact neither did. I would ask you to give CMU a second chance if you decided to come back for your own second chance, but...

And you have already heard my views on adventuring. We're both adventurers in a sense -- but I tend to be a bit more grounded than you, both in the figurative and physical sense. What if you spent this year taking care of your classes and pursue one or two of your goals? Like, pick up drawing or something -- I could help you with that, you know. I was actually just thinking about making a video tutorial as to how I shape faces and eyes. And then you could also build up on a few skills that you'd need to actually achieve those dreams -- learn an instrument, write your own language and figure out how languages work, etc. Simpler, more basic things like that.

Don't go chasing all the big stuff just yet; keep them in mind. You can't climb to the top of the pyramid before its foundation is built, yeah?


....And yes, I know I don't understand you at times, but please continue talking to us. We're not gonna judge you. You're still you, and talking just gives us an explanation as to why you do the things you do. In effect, it brings us closer to you. And we want to help. Honestly.
