XD Asami you and I had the same issues. And no uh let me put it in a spoiler. But honestly a lot of it was changed to the point it was not what I expected. Like the final fight scene I am pretty sure happened at another location. Oh and both the bad guy and the one that watches over them were not how I imagined them visually. long story short. I have not read the percy jackson series and probably wont. But the movies are good to me. So ultima I would say watch the movie and then XD read the book to see how different it is.

No what happened to Simon was at the club he drank a drink offered to him by a fairy to prove his bravdo to Clary and turned into a mouse. Unwittingly the vampires took him back to the hide out. Clary and Jace go after him. In order to escape, Simon mouse bit into Raphel's ( I think thats his name) finger getting a taste of the blood. I don't think its until book two that marks on his neck even show up. He just can't sleep any more and keeps wanting to go back. Eventually he does and has to die.

I think I'll ignore the movies from now on.

Man the Percy Jackson books are great tho
