There's stuff that I listen to to wake up -- they're basically the musical form of caffeine. Obviously my ears are ringing after a bit, buuuuut. I play music to help my mood at times, though. When I'm mad, I'll usually put on something loud and fast, like Ensiferum. I guess it's like venting. It helps me calm down. So in that way, it sort of IS mood-regulating...?
But music is usually "I feel like [this], let's put on music that'll make me feel the opposite" or "Oh, it's [this] kind of day/atmosphere; this music will fit".
