I imagine some still pursue that goal out of sheer self-aggrandizement. Not in this area of the world, obviously.
Beyond that, either serve the Antichrist in New Jerusalem as lieutenants, wage civil wars against each other in Hell, attend the relative peace of Beelzebub's court, or... really, whatever they feel like doing.
They're just fallen angels, without a real cause to fight for.
Cold silence has a tendency
to atrophy any sense of compassion
between supposed lovers.
Between supposed brothers.
