Off the top of my head, he was one of the "enemy" gods of the Old Testament God, a holdover from his origins as the tribal deity of the Isrealites. Later, as the concept of monotheism was embraced more wholesale, he became a "demon", the sponsor of the enemies of the Isrealites. He doesn't really have anything to *do* with the Biblical cosmology, it's a gray area where belief and reality intersected and the "foreign" god of the Canaanite tribes gained a presence in Isrealite mythology via cultural assimilation.
If he were to exist in any form here, it would be as one of Satan's fallen angels, many of whom explicitly masqueraded as pagan gods to tempt mankind away from the worship of the true God.
Cold silence has a tendency
to atrophy any sense of compassion
between supposed lovers.
Between supposed brothers.
