On power, I think we were getting toward the high end of the scale in the Cain fight, what with him ripping he entire temple apart with his whirlwind and tanking Uriel's sword to the face. The next step up would have to be NPCs like Abaddon or the False Prophet who are just LOLNO. Lowest low end would be absolutely mundane people, but that would be rather boring I think.
I guess we really need to look at what we're up against. Even the weakest enemies, the Dybbuk are fast-zombies with no brain weakness that you have to completely dismemeber to take down by normal means. :| A Rephaim is a 20-ft tall bullet-timing armored undead freak with psychic hypno whispers and a buster sword. Demons, not that we ever encountered any, are straight-up reality-warping eldritch horrors with bad, bad side effects from just being around them. And I think we all know what Nephilim are capable of... :P
So, I'm thinking we all need to be at least some kind of superhuman, just to be able to survive most of time. Maybe not quite to the same degree Na'lsa, Shealtiel, and Asasiah were by the end, but somewhere in the middle, make sense?
Also, just to throw it out there, there's no reason artificers or soldiers couldn't have totally twinked-out cyber body-mods and stuff that would level the playing field with the magic-y types. I don't think we used enough super-tech last around, anyone who wants to give it a try can get creative with it.
Anyway, when I said timeskip I meant like maybe a week to a month, I figured the group would still be mostly together minus anyone who drifted away. Longer than that would require more planning, as you pointed out.
And at the last point, we can do whatever seems like the funnest option, that's why I'm asking for you guys' opinions on it. ;)

to atrophy any sense of compassion
between supposed lovers.
Between supposed brothers.
