Well, I'd say that "lost and oblivious" is a pretty good description of how I spend most of my time, so perhaps my writing is less a facade than I once thought. Though I rather hope that I don't come across as "standoffish". I should think that I will likely continue writing in this style, but perhaps I shall make greater effort to make it clear when I am joking, and when I am being serious.

For example, the bit about lending support was without a trace of jest.

For example, the bit about lending support was without a trace of jest. In all likelihood, you just read a clunky wall of text. There's no need for me to make you read even more in my signature.
