He pulled out a couple of the berries, cherries, and carrots from their basket when they stopped for dinner, and while he didn't sense more than a few prairie dogs burrowing around in the nooks and crannies of rocks he knew that they were not going to have more than what they had already. Offering a smile he offered the boy a carrot. "Tomorrow I will try to see if we can catch another rabbit or maybe a bird for a meal."
