A monster from Greek mythology, who had a hundred eyes, that was owned by Hera who had him guard Io the cow (who was really a human Zeus had an affair with, yet Zeus turned her into a cow to protect her from Hera, only to end up getting tricked by Hera to give to her for a present). Eventually Hermes slayed Argus and Hera placed his many eyes upon the tail of her symbol, the peacock.
