-giggles- So, how are you this fine (if breathtakingly cold in my area) evening? :D
Helsinki-
Yeah, I've had my issues with the larger LGBT community, too. I think it's coming to an end, but it used to happen that the transgender community kept getting left behind whenever advances were made. Hate crimes protection, protection against discrimination at work, and so on tended to come for the LGB sections while the T got cut loose so that the bills could get the necessary votes. Hopefully that practice is over, though.
Indeed. We're all in this fight for equality together. We should move, more or less, as one and stop dividing ourselves when it matters most.
It is pretty amazing how quickly things have been changing lately. Hopefully the process of equality will speed up after next May. The Gender Identity Disorder diagnosis of the DSM-IV is getting a name change and won't be classified as a mental disorder anymore by mental health professionals. Homosexuality was removed from the DSM in 1978 (or there about), and the community began to make progress. So hopefully getting the gender identity DSM entry changed will help the transgender community to start making even greater progress. :)
Ow, ow, ow! D: At least the pizza was worth it, though.
He really did get shafted, and I'm really sorry that the grave's location was kept from you and that you had to just live with your grief for so long. Anytime you want to talk about it, I'm willing to listen.
