Seven years, never knowing if Mizuki was still alive or not. It was almost painful at times to think that if he hadn't of been so damn stuck in his ways or maybe if he admitted for once that he was fearful of something... maybe things would have turned out differently. Or maybe not, there was no way to really know for sure now.
During the whole time he had been forced to follow orders, that or die. So between his two choices it seemed being a obedient dog was the better choice. Not like his skills with weapons went unnoticed. Though his magic didn't either, being forced to train with it so he could use it. Even than he tried everything in his power not to use it let lone to keep it bound. Though the bindings were getting more and more complex as time went on and lasting a shorter amount of time. If not causing side effects that would sooner or later catch up to him.
But at the moment none of that mattered. No he had found himself a captive of one of the larger camps. He never meant to get caught by one of the main forces scouting groups. Sure he had been caught a few times but the smaller settlements were easy enough to get free of. This one had all the stops though. Magic bindings prevented using any to escape, let alone there was heavy guard in the area. Yep he was in a bit of a pickle with this one.
After one of the humans left to report that they were getting no where the second one gave him a rather cheap shot to the ribs. Not that all of these weren't cheap seeing as he was unable to defend himself. They were lucky in that part. If he was free... these two that had been prodding and tormenting hi for the past few hours would not be alive. Though on the same note he was glad they had taken all the stops in binding him. For the time being he didn't have to worry about his magic because the cuffs canceled it. Plus the fact he couldn't see, no that he was thankful for.
His eyes had easily reverted back to the dark as he had spent most of the seen years in the tunnels and depths. So day time he was hardly pleased with and last he recalled these camps stayed overly lit so he'd have a bit of a disadvantage. At the least it didn't feel like he wanted to rip his eyes out like the last camp. If they had put any more light in that one room...
Though it seemed that the human was done with him for the moment as footsteps could be heard. Great what now? surely they had to know by now they were not getting what little information he had. Though they were probably counting on there being a lot. pff he wasn't normally the one sent on scouting duty though.
