His friend's ferret attempted to make off with one of the piranha at one point. Catching it proved hazardous as the ferret proceeded to drag the pissed off piranha under the couch and any attempts to retrieve the fish met with angry clawing ferret and angry snapping fish. They got it back though. It lived.

Trying to not laugh like mad.
I think my family sort of had a relatively big pet lizard at one point, which my dad was almost deathly frightened of...Basically, we think it'd run away from somewhere, and stayed around our house eating bugs...It listened and stayed completely still when my mom told it to "stay" and proceeded to rake up the leaves around it.
...It fell into our swimming pool. That was a very sad day.
