Ok he was honestly expecting something bad, though if Mizuki had any idea the line he was crossed he might have a better understanding as to why Thal was so against all of this. But he didn't of course the other would view it as being his fault for not telling him but to be honest he never told anyone. Even those who had been around him for the past hundred or so years had no idea why he was so against magic. Heck when he found out he had any he researched every way possible to try to seal it or to rid himself of it. None came back that would end in the results he wanted. Not without risking his life anyway.
Even after nothing bad happened and Mizuki spoke that there was nothing to fret about... He was still worried. Everything had a price, no one just hands over relic weapons without some cause or reason, even if what the old man said was true and they were the only ones who could use them. If that was the case what blood line did they have that made them special? That part worried him more so now than it did before.
He just wanted to leave it there for whatever reason. Honestly it felt like the weapon was calling to him but he was trying his damnest to ignore it this whole time. What reason would there need to be to have two such weapons locked away down here? A question that he was not going to get answers to here as he sighed finally knowing if he didn't give in Mizuki would just force him to do it. All mages were the same weren't they?
Stepping forward a little he hesitated before moving his hand towards the hilt of the sword though the weapon didn't even give him the time to touch it before the layer of rust and rock seemed to break from it. All the while a spark of fire swirled around the blade till it looked like it had never aged a day. Holding the blade he had to admit it was lighter than he expected, seemed balanced... and what the hell was he thinking?! Using this was probably a death wish on its own. The blade was black with touched of red and silver in it. Black metals were not only rare but among the strongest if not so, to use for crafting anything out of.
Though he was glad that the fire was a mere spark and nothing more. Why did he just think his magic problem got worse with this thing. His ears were still back a little like he was expecting something to still come of this. "Ok can we go now please? ... before pressing out luck further." Not only that he wanted to get a temporary rune set in place so he wasn't worried about if his magic was going to decide to have a mind of it's own when he didn't want it to.
