Maybe she was right, though he really wouldn't have blamed the other if roles were switched to just leave him be. Honestly he wished the roles were switched, even when they were younger he hated seeing Mizuki hurt at all. Yet now he was near his death bed and there was nothing more he could do. He kept having to tell himself he did everything in his power that could be done. Though was that enough... Even if they were on poor terms he didn't want to see him die, he'd never admit that though. Not that it had to be admitted.
Even once things were settled and they were back at the castle his mind was hardly at ease. Verdia got permission to stick it out there with Luna but she knew the top two things on her brother's mind. The first one was about Mizuki, and the second was about the fact they had failed the mission. Like he really should be worried about that when they both nearly died.
Normally he didn't talk much or really openly take jabs at someone. Though seeing as it was normally just Verida and Luna there... as well as being forced to rest. Oh that was the part he hated. He had too much free time to think. He needed something to do to keep his mind from thinking about Mizuki. He still never opened his eyes or even remotely had any signs of doing so. He hated this to no end, least if he could get off the orders rest than he could busy himself.
Once Luna left the room Verdia yawned a little looking at Mizuki before smirking a bit at the current expression on her brother's face. "You might as well be nice to Luna and admit your concerned.. she's not a idiot and you pushing it away isn't going to make him come back any faster." Thal never answered her as she frowned a little, she had seen him in thought before sure but he really was concerned. "I'll be back.. don't you dare try to get out of this bed or I'll request more of that tonic to knock you out." She warned before leaving the room.
He shouldn't be this worried, Mizuki was going to be fine and he knew that. Or wanted to think that anyway. But it hurt watching him day in and out just lay there. If he had done his damned job better this wouldn't have happened, even if they failed they could have made it out. He closed his eyes for a moment before looking at his right hand that had the backfire effect on it. Though Verdia had become use to this every so often so it was mostly healed by this point. Not before scolding him that he needed to watch himself before it did real damage. But he quickly returned to his previous thoughts 'just wake up damn it!'.
