My sig other and I are like this. We've been together going on 8 years and we'd pretty much do anything for each other. Were each others best friend and we rarely fight and when we do it;s taken care of right away and we compromise about it. He truly is my other half... he belives in me when I don't in myself and let's me know it, and I only hope I do the same he does for me.

Also you feel this when you have children. I will always love my son. He's the light in my life as well and I may not like the things he does... when he grows older I may not like his life choices(his girlfriend or boyfriends...), his career choice... etc. But I will always love him and support him no matter what. Only time I think I can see myself wavering in that is if he turned out to be a murderer, which ain't gonna happen on my watch. :)
