That is an interesting discovery 83. I don't think I'd want to visit though unless they give us the full facts about what's going on in that planet...Like:
-The amount of actual gravity (I wouldn't want to be walking around with several times more weight to destroy my knees).
-What type of parasites and predators are already there (like dinosaur-sized, parasites that literally eat through your flesh, etc.)?
-What about virus and bacterial strains?
-Any particular areas with toxic plants/pollen?
-If there is already advanced life there, will they be friendly, will they shoot us down before landing, or will they want to dissect us or put us into zoos?
-What type of natural disasters can we expect to face (hailstones the size of a car, earthquakes that go 10+ on a regular basis, mega tsunamis, etc.)?
-Can we survive in an environment with a different radiation level than ours (is the radiation from their sun/star higher than ours, and if so what type of impact will that cause on a human)?
I think a space station is more feasible since it's a controlled environment created to be ideal for living conditions. I wouldn't mind having a Star Trek styled version for one 83
